Ensnared- Original

A dark, visual representation of grief, death, beauty, and transformation rendered in watercolor, ink, and colored pencil. This is an original artwork featuring a feminine hand constraining an anatomical heart through a rib cage, surrounded with delicate florals and spatter. This painting was done when I left a long term relationship and I was learning to take accountability for my own part to play in the end, forgiving myself, grieving the life I had always known and learning who I was and how to move on. Painted on Strathmore watercolor paper, this original piece is looking for someone else to help express themselves and find comfort in knowing they are not alone in their journey.
